Caries and its treatment

Caries affects the hard tissues of the tooth, gradually weakening the enamel and dentin. If left untreated, it can deepen, leading to pulpitis, periodontitis, and even tooth loss.

The development of carious damage occurs gradually:
– The appearance of white spots and a change in the tooth’s color.
– Light spots darken or turn black.
– The crown begins to deteriorate, with weakened hard tissues cracking or chipping.

Symptoms:
– Changes in enamel color and the appearance of spots.
– Sensitivity to cold, hot, sweet, or sour foods.
– Pain.
– Bad breath.
– Damage to the hard tissues, exposing the pulp.
